Empowering the Next Generation of Biomedical Engineers

This week, we hosted a hands-on training on maintenance and repair of oxygen concentrators in low-resource settings — and what an inspiring experience it was!

We were thrilled to see passionate young Biomedical Engineers from across Uganda engage, learn, and thrive in this vital field. A special shoutout to Gina Birungi, a rising talent with a strong focus in Biomedical R&D — the future is in good hands.

Huge thanks to Solomon Piwun and Nakuya Elizabeth for organizing the session, and to our incredible facilitators Canna Solomon Owino and Success Kamuhanda for leading modules on quality assurance and best practices in oxygen concentrator servicing.

Together, we’re building a stronger healthcare system — one technician at a time. 💙
